I am loving all the plant-based alternatives that are becoming available, but to someone who is just starting to dive into the world of plant-based eating, the options can be a bit intimidating! I believe in eating with intention, no deprivation and plant-based eating doesn’t have to only be smoothie bowls and salads, in fact far from it!
This list is all the dairy-free junk food favorites that I always reach for and come back to!
Mac and Cheese
If you follow me on Instagram, you might not be surprised at this one! I eat this more than I want to admit. During busy weeks, sometimes I eat it once a day. It’s so convenient, super quick to make, and always satisfies my mac and cheese craving. I like both their cheddar flavor and their pumpkin and sweet potato flavor. The cheddar is most similar to the quintessential boxed mac and cheese we all grew up with while the pumpkin and sweet potato flavor is sweeter. It’s perfect for the harvest and winter months because it is so hearty. Let’s be real though, I eat this no matter the season! I love both flavors and always have these in my pantry!
Ice Cream
I could do an entire post on vegan ice cream, and maybe I should, but for now here are some of my top favorites!
So Delicious Cold Brew Coffee
So Delicious Dark Chocolate Truffle
All the So Delicious ice cream bars and sandwiches are also really good!
Ben and Jerry’s Chocolate Fudge Brownie
Ben and Jerry’s PB Half Baked
Ben and Jerry’s Coffee Caramel Fudge
Oatly Strawberry
Frozen Pizza
I am not a big pizza fan, I know, I know, blasphemy! However, for a quick meal when the rare occasion strikes. These are my go-tos!
Daiya Supreme Pizza
Daiya Thin Crust Gluten Free Meatless Pepperoni Pizza
Amy’s Vegan Supreme Pizza
I like these ones because their cheese gets melty and the meat alternatives are tasty and have a great texture! Doesn’t even taste like a substitute!
Whipped Dessert Topping
The best whipped topping alternative!
I even sometimes use this like ice cream, a small scoop with lots of fresh fruit or frozen strawberries in syrup.
I find this in the frozen section next to the regular Cool Whip. It’s also quite a conversation topic at the grocery store, cashiers always ask me how it is when I am checking out.
Pre-made Cookie Dough
When you just want to pop some cookies in the oven, this is my favorite pre-made cookie dough!
Sidenote: Did anyone play Neopets as a kid? I did and their website totally brings back all the nostalgia! Check it out below!
Eat Pastry! Vegan Cookie Dough
So that about rounds up all my favorites!
While I typically eat pretty healthy, I love to splurge on some favorites when the craving hits!
