
Does it get more basic LA than avocado toast?
To be fair, I’ve been eating avocado toast long before living in Los Angeles, but I forgot just how much I loved it until trying to think up ways to use all the avocados before they turn on me. I love the different ways you can customize it because variety is the name of the game, especially if you are newly vegan.
My favorite way is the classic smashed avocado topped with a dash of seasonings. My go to seasonings are chili powder and Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel seasoning. I ate this almost every morning years ago and forgot just how good it was. I often over complicate breakfast and force myself into thinking I don’t have time or none of the traditional breakfast options sound good. I am glad to bring back an old favorite!
